Dylan Murray finds inspiration from reggae, mentorship from Nelly Furtado

CALGARY – Excited? Nervous?

Actually, Dylan Murray sounds a little more on the relieved side.

The Toronto musician is contemplating the release of his nationally distributed debut Inspiration, which is available now through the Warner Music Canada label, and which will set him off on what should be an eventful 2013 — one he’s chomping at the bit to actually see get underway.

“It’s been awhile for this to all to come together so I’m looking forward to it actually coming out,” Murray says noting the process of putting all of the elements together has been almost two years now.

“Sometimes you just think it happens over night but it’s a project and it takes time to make it right. . . . And it is now right.”

Right and ready.

And the uplifting, almost spiritual sunny folk-pop is ready to help make Murray a breakout star…
